INTRODUCING: The first ever star rating system for track athletes
Share
What scores mean:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(99+) - Projected to be highly competitive in the NCAA
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(98-85) - Projected top recruit in a Power 5 Conference
⭐️⭐️⭐️(84-70) - Projected D1 recruit
⭐️⭐️(60-69) - Projected D2/D3 recruit
⭐️(59-50) - Potential D2/D3 recruit
How scores are calculated:
Personal bests are used to calculate a “recruiting score” for each athlete. The calculated score is converted into a star rating, indicating the level each athlete is expected to compete at.
Any athlete Competing in multiple disciplines can achieve higher scores, which is critical because of NCAA roster limits.
Evaluation Method:
Track & XC Portal has analyzed historical data and thousands of athlete performances to develop a formula for ranking track recruits. The formula includes over 150,000 data points to fairly and accurately evaluate athletes.
Note: The formula currently only supports track events. Our team is working to add field events to our formula.
