Three NCAA records were broken at the 118th Millrose Games on Sunday at the Armory in New York City, New York.
Collin Sahlman - 800m (Indoor)
Northern Arizona University’s senior Collin Sahlman’s performance took down Paul Ereng’s 36-year-old record by 0.14 seconds with a time of 1:44.70 in the indoor 800m. He now sits at No. 5 on the US all-time list and is the seventh american to break 1:45 in the event.
Habtom Samuel - Two Mile (Indoor)
Habtom Samuel, junior from the University of New Mexico, ran 8:11.47 to break the NCAA indoor two mile record. He placed ninth overall behind eight professional athletes.
The mark comes three weeks after Samuel won the Houston Half Marathon in 59:01, for his road racing debut.
Doris Lemngole - 3000m (Indoor)
Alabama junior Doris Lemngole ran 8:31.39 to win the indoor 3000m over a field of professional and top collegiate athletes. Lemngole now holds every NCAA record above 3000m.
